Exynos 9810 from Samsung Will Compete with Snapdragon 835 [UPDATE]

Dat GPU core tho …

After a few days ago spread teaser about their latest SoC (System on-a Chip) Exynos 9, slowly some of the latest information surfaced. It is an internal from Samsung’s R&D Institute in Bangalore, India who blatantly writes that he and his colleagues are developing the latest type of processor that will reportedly be the engine for Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S8.

According to him, this latest chipset will be named Exynos 9810, so it’s not like the previous rumors which will be called Exynos 8895. Exynos 9810 will be divided into two variants, Exynos 9810V and Exynos 9810M. The Exynos 9810V will have 18 GPU core Mali-G71 (!), While the Exynos 9810M has two more cores, 20 GPU cores of the same type (!!!). Both are powered by the Mongoose M2 type CPU, a further development of the Mongoose M1 on Exynos 8890.

Exynos 9810 is projected to be a fierce enemy of Qualcomm’s SoC, Snapdragon 835. Both SoCs are equally developed using Samsung’s FinFET 10 nm technology which is claimed to be superior to its predecessor, both of which are based on the Samsung FinFET 14 nm.

UPDATE
No, not Exynos 9810 turns out. Samsung named the latest SoC with the name Exynos 8895. That’s what at least said in their press release this morning. You can check the link here, along with the full specifications.
