Motorola Try to Explore the Low-End Segments with Moto C

Moto C has the opportunity to be the cheapest Motorola blend phone since it is under Lenovo’s ownership.

The news that Lenovo wants to stop making smart phones and divert all of its cellphone production to its subsidiary, Motorola is slowly beginning to prove. This is seen when Motorola is now trying to fill all the highest segments to the lowest in the world mobile phone market, not least with the latest news from those who are designing a mobile phone with an affordable price tag for many people. Reported by VentureBeat, this latest prospective cellphone will have the name Moto C and Moto C Plus.

Judging from its name, Moto C is a completely new product that was not previously on the Motorola product list. Judging in terms of specifications, Moto C apparently has several types of variants namely the 3G variant, 4G variant, and variant Plus. All three will be equipped with MediaTek processors, each of which is MediaTek MT6580 (3G variant), and MediaTek MT6737m (4G and Plus variants).

For 3G & 4G variants, it will only be equipped with 1GB of RAM with an option of 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, while the Plus variant will be pinned with 1GB or 2GB RAM options with 16GB of storage memory. In the battery sector, the three also have their own differences, where the Moto C 3G variant will only be equipped with a 5MP fixed focus rear camera sensor and a 2MP front camera equipped with flash, while the Moto C 4G version has a similar rear camera sensor but comes with an autofocus feature.

Another case with the Moto C Plus which has a rear camera sensor with a resolution that rises to the level of 8MP. On the power supply side, Moto C 3G & 4G have identical capacity, 2300 mAh. On this side the Moto C Plus should be proud because it is equipped with a much larger capacity of 4000 mAh.

Unfortunately, it is not yet known what the price range for this product is. But looking at the specifications above, the cell phone with a choice of black, red, white or gold color is seen to be targeting the entry level segment and try their luck against cellphones of Samsung Galaxy J series or ASUS Zenfone Go offered at a price of around 1 million. Moto C is likely to be sold in several developing countries such as countries in South America and Asia Pacific. Thus, will Indonesia also get affordable mobile phones from Motorola? We wait for it.
