Apple AirPods and other Wireless earphones are getting full support in Windows 10

There is good news for the AirPods and wireless earphones users if they want to use it on Windows 10. Windows 10 21H2 (Sun Valley) update which will be available in October or November 2021 will have AAC audio codec support.

So, all the devices which run on AAC codec including the Apple AirPods will work better with Windows 10 PC after the update.

Previously, there were many complaints that the AirPods and wireless earphones with AAC codec have connectivity issues with the Microsoft OS. Along with connectivity issues, users were getting the power Audio quality from these wireless earphones connected with Microsoft OS.

Microsoft uses SBC and Aptx codec in its OS for all wireless earphones and headphones. However, these codecs don’t provide high-quality audio and have connectivity issues many times.

Apple AirPods comes with the AAC codec, so users are not getting the ultimate audio experience when they are connected to this OS. Now, the integration of AAC codec with Windows 10 will not only provide a great audio experience to AirPod users but also all wireless earphone users. Wireless earphones of other manufacturers which come with the support of AAC codec will also offer a great audio experience now with Microsoft PC OS.

Member of the Microsoft Insider Program found out that the AAC codec support is presently in a testing phase on Windows 10 (21H2) preview build. This AAC codec support will be launched with OS build no 21370. This update will be globally available for all Windows 10 users in October or November of 2021.

Windows 10 May 2021 Update:

The Windows Developer has confirmed that the next update will be called Windows 10 May 2021 update. This may 2021 update (21H1) comes with a build number 19043.928 and is the final update in 21H1. So, this update will reach the maximum number of users in the coming days. Microsoft confirmed this news in a blog on its official website.

The Windows maker releases multiple updates in a year to improve the performance of the OS and to introduce new features. These updates also helps to fix the bugs and improve the security of the OS.

Windows Insider Preview users will get this update first so that they can test it and report any bugs they find in it.
