At it’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2022, Apple announced an upgraded version of it’s MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook pro. Both the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook comes with M2 silicon inside and long battery life.
The Macbook Air announced at WWDC 2022 now comes with a falter design instead of a curved design that we see in it’s predecessor. The laptop is still fanless like the previous model but now it has a notch for the 1080p webcam that we see in last year’s MacBook Pro models. The laptop has a 13.6-inch liquid Retina display as well that supports 1 billion colors and 500 nits of peak brightness.
The keyboard has a function key row at the top of the keyboard and the device comes with the usual ports which are handy especially if you use an SD card to transfer your data. There is a much-loved MagSafe charging port along with the two USB Type C ports and a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack. the USP of this device is the M2 chipset inside which now provides a long 18-hour long battery life. There is a new quad-speaker setup integrated into the frame of the laptop which is an improvement over the last generation.
Apple also upgraded the charging speed of the device as it now comes with a 67W fast wired charging technology and there is a 67W fast charger included in the retail box. The MacBook Air comes in four colorways that are Midnight Blue, Silver, Space Grey, and Starlight Gold. the laptop has up to 2TB of SSD storage space, and 24GB of RAM which is quite impressive. The starting price for the base variant is $1199.
The other laptop that was announced at WWDC 2022 is an upgraded 13-inch MacBook Pro. The 13-inch MacBook Pro is almost the same as the last year’s model but it now has improved M2 silicon inside and starts at $1299 for the base storage variant.
