At it’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), Apple announced the next generation of it’s in-house M2 chipset. Currently, the upgrade M2 chipset is only available on MacBook Pro 2022 and the MacBook Air 2022. But there is some news that more devices with the new M2 chipset will come soon. The new iPad Pro 2022 with the M2 chipset might launch later this year as per the news and rumors.
iPad Pro with M2 Chip tipped:
The news comes from the Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman who covers Apple news for the publication. He claimed on his Power On Newsletter that Apple is working on a new iPad Pro with the M2 chip that might launch later this year. The supposed timeline for the new iPad Pro announcement is said to be somewhere in September or October. If this is going to happen then this device might come alongside the iPhone 14 series.
As per some early rumors and leaks, the new iPad Pro 2022 is to feature wireless charging support and an upgraded camera system as compared to last year’s model. The new M2 chipset offers a 35% improvement in GPU performance and an 18% improvement in CPU performance as compared to it’s predecessor. Most likely, Apple will launch the device in two screen sizes that are 11-inch, and a 12.9- inch but there are some rumors that a 14.1-inch iPad Pro model is also in development.
If Apple launches a 14.1-inch model then it would be the first iPad to come with this screen size. The display on the 14.1-inch model is expected to feature a mini LED display with a ProMotion display support.
The above news and specifications are based on early rumors and nothing is confirmed yet from Apple. The Cupertino-based tech giant might change it’s plan for the upcoming iPad Pro or maybe the screen sizes as nothing is confirmed. So just wait for the actual confirmation or announcement from the company.
