Color OS 11 based on Android 11 unveiled brings new features. Oppo became the first OEM to start rolling out beta version Android 11 for its users. The Chinese OEM also issues an instruction to install the beta version of the Android 11.
As many know that most of the OEMs use their own custom ROM based on Android in their smartphone. Oppo’s custom ROM is also referred to as Color OS and based on Android 11, it is Color OS 11.
Color OS 11 comes with all the Android 11 features along with some of the additional tweaks.
Color OS 11 New Features:
- New Animation Engine: It is called the UI 2.0 which serves the purpose of better RAM management and provides better frame rate stability.
- Dark Mode: Dark mode is essential nowadays for every operating system. In this update, there is an improvement in Dark mode as it comes now with three colour schemes. These colour schemes differ in terms of darkness intensity and can be adjusted based on home screen icons and wallpaper.
- Always on Display: AOD now comes with more customizable pre-loaded templates which users can choose and can customize it as well.

- Flex Drop: This is a feature which works similar to picture in picture mode we see in Android 11 and iOS 14. It allows users to resize all the supported apps in a floating window for multitasking. Supported apps can be used on top of another app as a floating window which is resizable

Translate Gesture: This feature is made with a partnership with Google. This gesture is used with the three fingers. The three-finger gesture can translate any text on the screen using Google Translator.

Super Power Saving Mode: You can use any of the Six apps in Super Power Saving Mode. These apps can run for a longer period when the battery reduces to 5% or lower.
Oppo Relax 2.0: It will help you to create a background noise which users can hear to relax. Users can choose cities noise from Beijing, Bangkok, Tokyo, Reykjavik or they can create their own relaxing noise.

Oppo also releases a time frame for the update and the number of supported devices. The update will be rolled out in two rounds. The Global Version of Color OS 11 based on Android 11 will start rolling for the Oppo Find X2 today. After that, Oppo Reno 3 and Reno 4 series will get the update at the end of this month.
For the users in the European Union, the Update will start rolling in November.
