From a Home screen, touch and swipe up to display all apps.

Navigate: Settings app icon > Network & Internet settings icon > Hotspot & tethering.

Tap Wi-Fi hotspot then tap to turn on or off.

If presented with the “Warning” screen, tap OK.

From a Home screen, touch and swipe up to display all apps.

Tap Wi-Fi hotspot.

From Wi-Fi hotspot, tap to modify any of the following then tap OK:

Network name

Security
WPA2 PSK
None

Note If presented with a Warning screen, tap Continue.

Hotspot password

Note Password can be changed.

Tap Advanced Down arrow icon.

Tap the Turn off hotspot automatically switch to turn on.

Tap AP Band to select an alternate band:

2.4 GHz Band
5 GHz Band

OR

Turn on the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

Go to the Notification Settings, by swiping down on the Home screen.

In the upper right corner of the screen, select on Settings.

Search for Tethering and Wi-Fi hotspot and select it.

At that point select on Mobile Hotspot.

Change the On/Off… flip to On.

Select OK on the Attention screen prompting you that WiFi will be killed.

Take after the headings at the base of the screen to associate/connect another gadget to your Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
