We are still far away from the launch of this year’s iPhone 14 but still, there are many rumors occurring about the upcoming iPhone 14 series. The most we have heard about is that Apple will notch in this year’s iPhone 14. Notch has been consistent in iPhone since the launch of the iPhone X in 2017. Since then, Android OEMs have implemented notches to hole-punch cutout but we haven’t seen any design change in iPhone’s display.
These days almost every Android smartphone comes with a hole punch cutout in the display for the selfie camera or a pill-shaped cutout for the dual selfie cameras. Now, we have heard that Apple has decided to go past that old-fashioned notch and come up with a new style display which we haven’t seen in smartphones yet. The new reports suggest that iPhone 14 Pro will launch with a combination of Hole+Pill-shaped cutout on the display.
iPhone 14 new display :
Apple famed analyst Ross Young tipped that iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will ditch the notch launched with a combination of Hole+Pill cutout on the display. This will be a new display design as we haven’t seen such kind of display in any smartphone.
We now believe Apple will have a hole + pill design on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. The smaller hole will not be invisible…The two hole concept will be unique to Apple, like the notch, not similar to all the pill models from Huawei…Let's see those new renders pic.twitter.com/Udt8cTKzPZ

If this rumor is true then this will lead to a new display trend and Android OEMs will follow this trend just like they copied Apple’s notch style. This display design will also help Apple to fit all the sensors including the Face ID above the display without the need for a huge notch.
This news is for both the Pro models as per Ross Young. So, there are chances that both the non-pro models will launch with a similar display design as their predecessor. If Apple implemented this technology, then it is big news as we haven’t seen any change in iPhone’s display design since 2017. These are still rumors and there is no confirmation from Apple yet about the new design.
