Google Pixel Fold

Google Pixel Fold has been postponed once again as Google has not been able to develop the device before the end of 2022. The foldable smartphone market is growing and almost all OEMs have launched their foldable smartphones. Samsung, Motorola, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, and Xiaomi launched their foldable smartphone. Most of these brands have restricted their foldable to the Chinese market only, Samsung and Motorola have launched their foldable on the Global market. Now, Google is trying to capture some of the foldable market shares by launching it’s Google Pixel Fold – a foldable device soon.

We have been hearing that the device is in development as Google intends to launch it’s first foldable device by Quarter four of 2022 but now there are news that the device got delayed due to some unforeseen reasons.

The news comes from South Korean Publications, The Elec that Google postponed it’s foldable one again which previously the company planned to launch in the last quarter of 2022. The popular tipster Ross Young also hints at spring 2023 for the release of the device. This might also be why Google did not tease it’s foldable at Google I/O 2022 where it showed many of it’s upcoming devices including the Pixel watch, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel 7 series.

Google might release the Google Pixel Fold in the first quarter of 2023 along with the Pixel Tablet which it teased at this year’s Google I/O. The reason for the postponement of the device might be that the device is not ready to be released as of now.

There are many concerns regarding foldable devices as many folding devices come with a lot of problems and bugs which make the user experience unpleasant.

The main problem that foldable face is that their build quality is not durable and displays are very fragile. There are many reasons for the delay and it seems like Google does not want to release an incomplete product.

As far as the rumors are concerned, the Google Pixel Fold will feature a 7.57-inch inner foldable display with Samsung-made ultra thing glass and a 5.78-inch smartphone-sized external display. As Google is now using it’s in-house tensor chips so there are chances that this device will also feature a tensor chip.

These specifications are just rumors and we will update our readers when more details will come out. So, stay tuned.
