Root and Install SuperSU on Android 7.0 Nougat

Is your phone picking up calls without you doing anything? Are you unable to find a way to stop this annoying feature? Well in this guide, we will explain to you the step by step process on how to disable auto call answering.

Before we begin, do understand that this feature is not set as default by any mobile developers. This could either be a bug on a recent update or some form of tampering you were unaware of.

How to disable auto answer call in android

  • Turn on the phone
  • Tap the dialer icon. The icon you use to make phone calls.
  • Tap on the 3 dots to the top right or left. If you cannot find 3 dots, just find any button on the top right or left that has “Settings” inside it
  • Click on Settings
  • You will be able to see the Auto Answer box. Uncheck it to turn off the feature.

Now different phones may have different configurations so this might not have worked for you if that is the case don’t worry. There is another method you can try.

  • Turn on the phone
  • Go to Settings
  • Go to Call Settings
  • Uncheck the Auto Answer box

These two techniques are tried and tested in most smartphones out there. If you still can’t find the option then we have a few more suggestions. If your phone is a Micromax model try the below steps

How to disable auto call answering in Micromax

  • Turn on the phone
  • Tap on the dialer icon.
  • Type *#*#3646633#*#*
  • Click on the Auto Answer option
  • Click on Disable

Now if your android phone is not a Micromax model and you cannot find the auto answer option after following any of the previous steps then we have two suggestions for you.

As I said earlier, these features are not turned on by default by any developer and if we assume it’s not a bug then it might be because of some tampering that occurred. I’d suggest you back up your data and perform a factory reset on your phone.

You can perform a factory reset in two different ways.

  • Go to settings
  • Go to System
  • Click on Reset at the bottom
  • Click and agree on Factory Reset

If your model does not allow to factory reset on the settings then you will need to do it manually.

  • Turn off your phone
  • Hold your power button and your volume down button simultaneously. If it doesn’t work and if you have another button on your phone then click all three simultaneously.
  • You will enter the recovery mode of your phone
  • Use the volume up and down buttons to navigate to the factory reset option
  • Press the power button to confirm

After a full reset, your phone should be back to normal and all your settings will be back to its default choice.

If your phone still has the issue, I would suggest you contact the company of your phone via email or call and mention your model and android version to them. They will be able to provide any alternatives that are specific to the model you possess.
