How to create Key Mapping for STB Emulator

What do we mean by key mapping? It is a faster way to work. You can work easily and faster with the coloured buttons of the STB Emulator app. You can either use your basic remote or the keyboard remote.

Here I’ll be using the keyboard remote. You can also create shortcuts. By shortcuts, we mean that by pressing a certain letter key, it will perform a certain functionality. Let’s get to know-how.

Step 1: Launch the STB Emulator app and go to settings. To enter the settings menu, go to the upper right corner, select the 3 dots icon. A drop-down menu will appear with an option of settings.

Step 2: Once you enter the settings menu, select the option to configure the keymaps.

Step 3: Select the option to add the key.

Step 4: Now, simply choose the key you wish to create a shortcut for. You will have to select an alphabet and not a number. The number key won’t work. After selecting the key, choose the action for the key. For this, select the button labelled as ‘action not selected’.

Step 5: The actions you can choose are from the four coloured buttons – red (view), green (sort), yellow (Favorite) and blue (move/search). Select the one you wish to create a shortcut for.

  1. About 2 weeks ago, I am unable to sort by favorite. When I click sort by favorite, it still shows all the channels. I tried going to settings to update or even reset; but nothing. What could be wrong? Hope you can help. Thanks.
