Ways to fix Notes app crashing on iPhone 13 series

Update the iOS

Apple always takes care of its users and continuously brings updates for apps, and if you are facing a Note app crashing problem, it might be possible that you haven’t downloaded the latest iOS. Presently, the latest iPhone series is working on iOS 15.2.1, and if you have not updated yet, it’s the right time to do that.

For doing so, Go to Settings > General option > Software Update. If there is any update available for download, click on “Download and Install”.

Check if the Notes app problem persists or has been resolved. If the Notes app is still crashing, then look for other options.

Check App Restrictions

It might be possible that you haven’t given permission to use the Notes app that has created the Notes app crashing problem. To do so, Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content and Privacy restriction > finally, turn off the toggle.

Further, restart the device and check the crashing problem is fixed or not.

Latest version of the Notes App

There may be an app crashing problem due to an outdated version of the Notes App. To update your device to the latest version, Go to the App Store > Search Notes app if any update is available. Click on the update. Finally, re-launch the app after restarting the phone and check if the problem persists or is fixed.

Clean up Device Storage

It is possible that your iPhone has left very little room to save other apps, and it started crashing due to a low-storage problem. To clean up the device, Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage, then clean up the device. Now, restart your phone and check if the Notes app crashing problem is fixed or not.

Disable Notes from iCloud

iCloud is the official store for all iOS devices, and it can be used for backup or restoration processes. If your app is crashing, try removing the Notes app from iCloud. To do so, Go to Settings > Initials >iCloud Option > Notes app > off the toggle. A pop-up will appear confirming the deletion of the Notes app; check it yes. Now, restart your Notes app and check if the crashing problem went away or not.

Try resetting your device

Before resetting your device, take the backup of all your data. For doing so, Open Settings > Click on reset iPhone.

Once you are done with the process, launch the Notes app, and notably, the crashing problem will no longer disturb you.
