Samsung Galaxy Tab S is one of the very popular and highly powerful tablets running in the market now. It is packed with all the exciting features to make it a very unique one. But, like other electronic gadget, this one too is not bug-free. Several customers have come up with different kind of issues till date and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 freezes is one of the very common of them. According to the users, their Samsung tablet keeps freezing very often for unknown reasons.
However, this is not a very big issue rather you can resolve it by your own. Here are some simple tricks to get rid of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 freezes issue.
Soft reset:
If you want to know that how to unfreeze a Samsung tablet, a simple soft reset can help you lot in this case. It is nothing but restarting the device to give it a fresh start, and it can resolve several small issues like this. The process is very simple. Just press down the power and volume up button together till the device gets turned off. That’s it. Power it on again to see if the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 freezes issue is resolved.
Boot in safe mode:
There are some culprit apps that can be the cause of such kind of issue. So, you can boot the phone in safe mode to see it. In case the tablet does not get freezes in safe mode, then it is nothing but a third party app is creating this freezing issue. To boot the phone in safe mode,
- First switch off the phone completely.
- Next, turn it on by pressing down the power key for a few
- As soon as the Samsung logo appears on the screen, press the volume down key and hold it till the lock screen is displayed.
- Now, you will see the safe mode in the bottom left corner. To exit the safe mode, just reboot the phone once again, and that’s it.
If you are then sure that it is a third party app to create the issue, find it out and uninstall it from the device.
Clear application cache:
Clearing the application cache very often frees up space in phone memory which helps the phone to perform better. But, remember it is not the application data as application data will remove personal data like login details.
To clear the application cache, go to settings> Application > Application manager and then find out that specific app whose cache is to be cleared.
Select the app and tap on the clear cache.
Check device memory:
If the tablet is left with very minimum memory storage, this can lead to such Samsung tablet keeps freezing issue. So, check the device memory once. You can do that by accessing the Sprint Zone.
- Once you have accessed Sprint Zone, swipe left to get to the Device Diagnostic
- Next, go to storage> Overview to check if the tablet has a memory If so, then uninstall all the unnecessary apps, documents, files etc. to free up some good amount of space. Also, transfer all the possible apps to the SD card.
Check the SD card:
Sometimes a faulty SD card too can be the cause of freezing issue. So, it’s always good to check that by unmounting the SD card once. To unmount the SD card, go to settings>general> Storage> Unmount the SD card and then remove the SD card from the slot.
In case none of the above solutions can resolve the Samsung tablet keeps freezing issue for you, go for factory reset the phone. But, remember to take a back up first.
Go to settings>back up & reset> reset> Factory data reset and it will leave the phone to a brand new one. From there you need to set the phone from scratch again.
