Turn Wi-Fi off and back on:

Reset network settings:

Resetting network may work too. It resets all of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and VPN (Virtual Private Network). You will have to re-enter all of the Wi-Fi passwords so make sure before resetting you write it down somewhere. You can reset the network settings by going to the settings and then tap on General and then find Reset. Tap on reset and you will get an option for resetting network settings. You will have to enter your iPhone’s passcode to reset it. Once you do it, then click on confirm. Your iPhone will reboot after the resetting is complete.

Uninstalling and Re-installing YouTube:

This is also a very easy way to get YouTube running in your iPhone once again. Just uninstall it and reinstall it later so that any bugs that exist may be deleted. All the old settings will be gone when you delete it and after downloading it again, it will be as if it’s downloaded for the first time with new settings and will work really smoothly.

Check if there are new updates available for YouTube in the apple store. Sometimes the old versions are infected with bugs and hence cause problems in the working of the application. So a very easy fix to it will be updating it to the latest version that is available in the store.

Reboot your iPhone:

Rebooting your iPhone will refresh all the applications in the phone which will give a boost to all the applications in your phone. Rebooting makes the phone just like new and the applications start working like they are supposed to do as it refreshes all the networks and processes of the workings of your iPhone.

Troubleshoot the application:

If reboot also doesn’t work in your favor, then you can troubleshoot the problems of the application. Sometimes opening YouTube with a third party app causes troubles too, so you can troubleshoot the other application too.

Check the server status:

Yes, sometimes it may happen that the servers of YouTube may be down due to an ongoing maintenance check. YouTube is a  widely used application for streaming videos and due to the heavy load, it suffers the parent company sometimes take the servers of the application down so that all the load could be distributed and up-gradations could be made for the smooth functioning of the application.
