How to install iOS 16 on all supported iPhones?

iOS 16

Apple official rolled out iOS 16 for all supported iPhones. So, if you are running iOS 15 or on the iOS 16 beta build, you can download and install the stable iOS 16 updates on your iPhone. The iOS 16 update brings many features and stability over it’s predecessor and if you are on a supported iPhone then it is better to upgrade your device to the latest stable build. In this article, we will show you how you can install iOS16 on your supported iPhone.

Install iOS 16 on your iPhone:

Apple removed The iPhone 7 series or lower from the iOS 16 supported device list. So, if you are using iPhone 7 or lower then you won’t be able to upgrade your device to the latest build. The latest and stable build is available for iPhone 8 series, iPhone X series, iPhone 11 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone SE 2022, and iPhone 14 series. If you have any of the above-mentioned devices then you are good to go and you can install the latest build on your device. It is also worth mentioning that before moving further into the tutorial, we advise you to take a complete backup of your device so that if anything goes wrong then you have at least your data and important files backed up.

The process is straightforward, simple and it does not require anything technical. Most users are on the iOS 15 build so it is easy to install the stable iOS16 build. The process involves the clean installation of the OS build without any complication. The OS build is around 5GB in size so you also need a stable internet connection and some patience. Follow the steps below to upgrade to the latest build:

  • Go to iPhone settings.
  • Tap on Generals.
  • Navigate and tap on Software update.

If the update is available for your device, you will see the download and install button on your screen. Simply tap on the download button and wait for the update to download completely. If you don’t see any update available then you have to wait as the update will be available for your device soon if it supports the update.

Update from beta to stable build:

The above method is for those who are on the iOS 15 build. If you already running the iOS 16 beta build then this method is for you. To upgrade from beta build to stable build you have to first remove the beta profile on your iPhone. To do that follow the steps mentioned below:-

  • Go to settings on your iPhone.
  • Tap on General.
  • Navigate and tap on VPN, DNS & Device Management.
  • Here click on “iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 Beta software profile”.
  • Click on Remove profile. Type your device Passcode and then click on Remove profile.
  • Next, reboot your device.
  • Now, check for the update similarly like we told you in the above method and you will see the stable OS build for your device.
