Seeing your friends or family on the phone while you talk to them is indeed a moment of joy especially when you are not living close to them. This is why smartphone manufacturers and telecommunication companies introduced video calling feature on the phone. Besides just making an audio call or sending a text message you can also make a video call to them.
Most applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, WeChat, FaceTime, Skype, Google Duo etc. offer video calling feature. If you have them installed on your phone you can easily make a video call to the person who is also using the same application.
However, you can also make a video call without the use of the apps. Here is the process on how to make a normal video call on Android phone.
Ways to make a normal video call on Android
Open your Phone application – which is a default app on every smartphone these days. You don’t have to register or sign in to it unlike the other apps.
Go to the dialing pad and dial the number you wish to make a video call to or just get their number from the saved contacts in the list.
As you click on the number you will get the option to – make an audio call (the phone icon), send a text message(text box icon) and a video call(video camera icon). Click on the video camera icon to begin a video call.
You will hear the ring as the connection is made and once the person you have made a call to picks the phone you will be able to see him/her.
Remember you should have internet connection while making a video call
