One of the first things you defiantly want to do is check the setting itself that applies to all Samsung smartphones touches. You need to make sure Samsung accidental touch setting is enabled on your Samsung smartphone. If the setting is not enabled then that could speak to the reason, why your device is powering on when it’s not in your hand.
Procedure to Turn on Accidental touch protection from settings
- Go to Settings then tap Display option.
- Tap to Accidental touch protection to turn on the feature.
That will prevent accidental touches of the device from powering on when it is not in your hand.
Procedure to Turn off the Edge screen settings
This is a setting on Samsung smartphones that give you some extra functionality on the edge of your screen itself. Some people have found that turning off the edge settings can help with accidental touches on your device.
- Step 1: Tap to Settings then tap Display option.
- Step 2: Tap to edge screen then Switch to the off position.
Once it is in the off position as normal, test it to make sure that your problem is either being addressed or not. So, go ahead and place your phone in a situation where an accidental touch happens. Give it a test and see.
Procedure to Turn off Fingerprint always on the Samsung smartphone
- Step 1: Tap to Settings.
- Step 2: Now Select option Fingerprint always on.
- Step 3: Here you already have a fingerprint saved, disable it by tapping the switch next to option Fingerprint always on.
