Review and Delete WhatsApp Media Files

WhatsApp is a common platform to chat, share pictures, videos, GIFs, files, etc. An avid user of WhatsApp who has all their contacts connected to this platform may find their storage to overflow in no time. If a user’s smartphone is low in storage then WhatsApp may not function properly. In such situations, WhatsApp often prompts the user to free space so they may continue using the app without any glitches.

It would be tedious and frustrating if you had to delete single media files to free up some space. However, WhatsApp users don’t have to worry about this because the app offers a storage management feature that lets you review and remove bulk media that you don’t like to have on your phone anymore. Here is what you can do to review and delete WhatsApp Media files.

What is the WhatsApp Storage Management Tool?

Last year in September, WhatsApp added a new feature in their Storage section. The feature was announced by WhatsApp on Twitter. The feature offers multiple options to delete the media files from the app. To use the feature, you must have an updated version of WhatsApp on your device.
