It recently rolled out a new feature View Once, which lets your exchange media that can be deleted automatically from all chat logs. To enjoy this feature, you have to tap the View Once feature whenever you share a photo or video while using WhatsApp.

How to send disappearing photos and videos in WhatsApp on iOS, Android and desktop

Tap the chat with the person to whom you would like to send a disappearing photo or video in the WhatsApp app for iPhone. Then, select the “Camera icon” on iOS and  Android, while in desktop, choose “Attach icon” to proceed further.

Further, click the ‘Circular Shutter icon’ to take a picture and hold it if you want to record a video. On the other hand, you can select the gallery icon to send existing media.

After you have captured or selected a photo or video, click on the ‘View Once icon’. The View Once option will be located at the bottom of the screen near Add a caption box.

After can tap OK to finalize the process.

Finally, tap the send icon and relax on the chair.

But, keep in mind you have to follow all these steps every time you send a new View once photo or video.

Similarly, you can use the View Once feature on Android and desktop by following the above-mentioned steps.

Important Note:

Moreover, you have to keep in mind that, unlike Snapchat, WhatsApp doesn’t notify the sender if the receiver has taken a screenshot of the photo or video. Hence there is no guarantee that the user has no copy of your photo and recorded video.
