How To Set Up Face Recognition LG G8 ThinQ:
Facial recognition through biometrics:
Is an option for keeping the device screen from locking when looking at it.
Can be used to unlock the device when it is locked and powered on.
Is less secure than a PIN, pattern or password.
A screen lock must be active (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.) to use Face Unlock. If necessary, refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
If synced to a corporate Exchange account, the availability of this option is dependent upon the policies of your IT admin.
From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Lock screen & security Settings icon.
These instructions apply to Home mode only.
Tap Face Unlock.
Review the instructions then tap NEXT.
If presented, select a lock screen option (e.g., pattern, PIN, password) then follow the steps to complete the process.
Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
Review the instructions then tap START.
Place your face within the circle until the process is complete.
Configure any of the following:
Tap Improve face recognition then follow the on-screen instructions.
Tap Delete face then tap DELETE to remove face lock.
Tap Raise to wake for Face Unlock to turn on or off.
Tap Swipe to unlock after face recognized to turn on or off.
Tap Content lock then tap to turn on or off.
