The LG G8 ThinQ smartphone is an Android smartphone developed by LG Electronics as part of the LG G series. It was officially announced on February 24, 2019. The device serves as the successor to the 2018 LG G7 ThinQ smartphone.
The LG G8 ThinQ comes in a metal chassis with a glass backing, and is IP68-rated for water and dust-resistance. It is available in gray, black and red color finishes. The LG G8 ThinQ smartphone features a 1440p FullVision AMOLED display, with a diagonal size of 6.1 inches and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The LG G8 ThinQ smartphone is the first LG G series smartphone to have an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display, as this had previously been reserved for LG V series set of smartphones starting with the LG V30 smartphone.
The LG G8 smartphone comes packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 system-on-chip with 6 GB of RAM. It is offered with 128 GB of internal storage which can be expanded with the use of a SD card. How To Set Up Hand ID LG G8 ThinQ:
Hand ID is utilized to unlock the device.
For best results, only 1 hand should be scanned.
A screen lock must be active (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.) to use Hand ID. If necessary, refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
If synced to a corporate Exchange account, the availability of this option is dependent upon the policies of your IT admin.

From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Lock screen & security lock screen.
These instructions apply to Home mode and List view only.
Tap Hand ID.
If presented, select a lock screen option (e.g., pattern, PIN, password) then follow the steps to complete the process.
Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
Tap START. Place your hand 6-8 inches away and follow the onscreen prompts.
Repeat this process as necessary until the ‘You can now unlock your phone with Hand ID’ screen appears.
Tap OK (lower-right).
Configure any of the following as preferred:
Tap Delete hand data. Tap DELETE to remove Hand ID.
Tap Cover to wake for Hand ID to turn on or off.
Tap Swipe to unlock to turn on or off.
If using smart lock the device may not wake up if your hand is placed over the proximity sensor.
