PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GALAXY A50 DOES NOT SUPPORT DeX Capabilities but the usual means and ways of doing so for other galaxy devices are outlined below as well the supported devices:

Using the DeX Cable:
Dex Cable supported devices:
Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Tab S4

Connect the USB-C end of the DeX Cable to the port on the mobile device, and then connect the HDMI end into a TV or monitor’s HDMI port.

If you want to use a keyboard and a mouse, you can connect bluetooth devices directly to the mobile device to use them in Samsung DeX.

Your mobile devices’ screen should appear on the monitor. Unlock the device if you have a screen lock. A popup message will display on your Home screen. Touch OK to allow access to Full Desktop mode. Next, a Samsung DeX notification will appear. Read the introductions and instructions on the monitor. When you’re done, select I agree to the Terms and Conditions above, and then select Start.

You can use the mobile device’s screen as a touchpad and keyboard.

Using the DeX Pad or Station
Dex Pad supported devices:
Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S8 Active

Dex Station supported devices:
Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+
You are going to ace that research project when you can work on it from the big screen. There’s two things you need to do:

Connect the DeX Pad or Station to the Fast Charging Travel adapter that came with the phone. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the DeX’s HDMI port, and then connect the other end into a TV or monitor’s HDMI port.

Then connect your phone to the DeX Pad or Station. If your phone has a case on, make sure you take it off before connecting as it may cause connection issues. If you want to use a keyboard and a mouse, connect them to the USB ports on the DeX. You can also connect Bluetooth devices, such as a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

When using the DeX Station slide the cover open and mount the phone onto the USB-C connector.

Once everything is connected successfully, select the screen mode you want to use. You can select Samsung DeX or Screen mirroring mode.

START SAMSUNG DeX: The phone’s screen will turn off and appear on the connected TV or monitor in desktop mode.

SWITCH TO SCREEN MIRRORING: The same screen as the phone will appear on the connected TV or monitor.

Samsung DeX Settings:

When you connect your mobile device to a DeX product, Samsung DeX Settings are added to your Settings list. To access it, select Settings from the Home screen, and then select Samsung DeX. From here, you can customize your wallpaper or screen resolution for Samsung DeX, access keyboard and mouse settings, try new features in advance with Samsung DeX Labs, or learn how to use Samsung DeX. Let the exploring begin!
