How to Share Your Apple Card

Now Apple card users can add a co-owner from their Apple Family Sharing Group. The co-owners share a similar credit line and therefore, it allows them to add the Apple Card to Apple Pay, check their own spending activity, and many more. It is also possible to share your Apple card with other family members aged 13 or above and it will provide them their own spending limit.

So, if you have an Apple Card and willing to share it with your other family members, then follow this article. Here, you will learn how to share your Apple Card on iPhone and iPad.

There are two ways to share Apple Card. Either you can add a co-owner who will have equal control over your account or create credit together. You can also add up to five other members from your Family Sharing group who will be able to enjoy the benefits of your Apple Card as a participant.

Those aged 18 years or above can apply for the titanium Apple Card associated with your account, and the most important thing is you can set up transaction limits to make sure they don’t overspend. They can also check their own spending.

How to Share Your Apple Card With Your Family Members?

To set up both options, you need to follow these steps on your iPhone running iOS 14.6 or above:

Open the Wallet app

Click on your Apple Card

Select the more (…) button

Click on the Share My Card option

Then select Continue

Pick a member from your Family Sharing Group. If no member is added or you want to add a new member, click on Invite Someone.

If you want to make your selected person a co-owner, select Become Co-Owner. If you want to share your Apple Card, click on Add as Participant.

Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the requested information

Click on Send Invitation, and after that, authenticate with your passcode.

To Set up your Apple Card sharing option on iPad with iPadOS 14.6 or above, follow these steps:

  • Open the Settings app
  • Click on Wallet & Apple Pay
  • Then select the Apple Card option
  • Click on the Info tab
  • Now select the Share My Card option
  • Tap on Continue
  • Select a member of your Family Sharing Group. If you want to add a new member, click on Invite Someone.
  • If you want to make the person a co-owner, select Become Co-Owner option. If you just intend to share your Apple Card, click on Add as Participant.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the requested information.
  • Click on Send Invitation, and after that, verify with your passcode.

The person with whom you have shared your Apple Card will receive a notification. If you have selected the person as a co-owner, they will have to follow the on-screen instructions to finish their Apple Card Application. If the person is just a participant, they need to select yes to accept your invitation and add the card to their Apple Wallet.

According to some reports, from July 2021, it will be possible for two Apple Card users to combine their cards as well as credit limits to create a single co-owned account.
