Turn Off 'Time To Stand' Reminders

Apple Watch is one of the most preferred gadgets of the modern era. It helps to keep track of your messages, calls, listen to music, video calls, take photos, and keep an eye on your health condition. Today with Apps like Heart, ECG, and Blood Oxygen, it is just a matter of seconds to detect your health condition and reach the hospital for on-time treatment as needed. Besides, you can also check your calorie and weight using the app during both indoor and outdoor exercises. However, while your favorite Apple watch comes with a wide array of benefits, it also does stuff that can seem annoying. One such is the repeated ‘Time to Stand’ Reminders. If you wish to turn off this Notification, this article is meant for you.

Steps to turn off ‘Time to Stand’ Reminders on your Apple Watch

Being seated at a particular spot for a long time is not something good for your health. And all that Apple Watch does is its duty to keep you fit and healthy! Isn’t it? Well, yet repeated reminders are annoying. If you stay seated for about 50minutes in an hour, you are likely to receive a Time to Stand Notification on your Apple Watch. Moving around for a minute within an hour is the way to stay away from the reminder or the next big thing is to take a one-minute walk after the onset of the first alarm.

Standing and moving around will also land up, sending you a notification related to your award of earning an hour to your Stand Goal- this is referred to as the Blue Activity ring appearing on the watch. If a person wearing this watch stands and moves for at least a minute in an hour for a window of 12 hours in a day, they can close the Stand Ring without anything extra.

But, if you are too lazy to pay heed to the Apple Watch’s Time to Stand Notification and love your couch more, it is time to keep that buzz off. Here is how to turn off time to stand notification with ease:

Press the Digital Crown over there on the right side of the Apple Watch

Tap on the Settings option from your Watch’s app list

Keep scrolling down and hit the Activity option

Now Turn off the toggle right next to the Stand Reminders

Another method to turn off the stand notification on the watch is to turn it directly off from your iPhone. You just need to unlock the device. Go to the Home Screen and find the Watch App on your phone. Then tap on the Activity option and turn off the toggle next to it that says Stand Reminders.

Wrapping Up

Turning off the stand reminders will prevent you from having any further notification related to your seating and stand movements. However, the hour in which one stands up and moves gets recorded in the Apple Watch. This is then added to your Standing Goal, and once the blue activity ring closes, it indicates you have met the target for the day.

You won’t get a notification every hour asking you to get up if you turn off the stand reminders, but the hours you do stand and move around will still be recorded by your Apple Watch and count toward your Stand objective, assuring you can close the blue Activity ring.
