The Indian government has banned 43 more Chinese apps, after banning hundreds earlier this year. This action was cited for safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and integrity and did after taking the inputs from the relevant authorities. The app list includes games, dating, and shopping apps like AliExpress.
India Bans More Chinese Apps Over Security
The Indian government has banned hundreds of Chinese apps earlier, including TikTok and PUBG Mobile over security reasons.
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, GoI (@GoI_MeitY) issued an order today under section 69A of the Information Technology Act blocking access to 43 mobile apps in India.

These apps were accused to be a threat to the people, thus banned both access and working in the country. Now, continuing that pursuit, it has banned 43 more apps yesterday. These are;

- Alibaba Workbench
- AliExpress – Smarter Shopping, Better Living
- Alipay Cashier
- Lalamove India – Delivery App
- Drive with Lalamove India
- Snack Video
- CamCard – Business Card Reader
- CamCard – BCR (Western)
- Soul- Follow the soul to find you
- Chinese Social – Free Online Dating Video App & Chat
- Date in Asia – Dating & Chat For Asian Singles
- WeDate-Dating App
- Free dating app-Singol, start your date!
- Adore App
- TrulyChinese – Chinese Dating App
- TrulyAsian – Asian Dating App
- ChinaLove: dating app for Chinese singles

These apps were banned under India’s Information Technology Act, section 69A, as they were deemed to be “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order.”
The decision was declared by The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, who said to have proceeded after taking inputs from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs.
