iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max display:

According to the report by South Korean daily, Samsung Electronics will provide LTPO (Low-Temperature polycrystalline oxide) display panel for Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.

Apple will not be able to use a higher refresh rate display without the use of the LTPO tech. The reason for this is that LTPO offers a power-efficient backplane. It means that the higher refresh rate will not affect the battery life of the device and will offer a good battery life.

LTPO display panel will offer a higher refresh rate without draining the battery much. The report also claims that Samsung Electronics will be the only supplier to apple for these LTPO panels.

With these LTPO panels, Samsung will also supply “RFPCB (Rigid Flexible Printed Circuit Boards)”. RFPCB is that part of a device that links the mainboard to the OLED panel. It is also an important part of the iPhone 13 series which links these LTPO panels to the mainboard.

The report also claims that Apple will be buying 169 million OLED panels for its upcoming iPhone 13 series. Samsung will be the biggest supplier of OLED panels to Apple this year as it will supply 110 million OLED panels from these 169 million.
