The much-awaited iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max were also announced at an Apple event along with the regular iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. The Pro models are the true flagship devices from Apple and came with all the specifications and features that we expect from an Apple flagship. Check out the detailed specifications below:

iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Max specifications:

The Pro model ditches the notch that we see in every iPhone line since the launch of the iPhone X in 2017 and instead, it goes for a pill-shaped cutout on the top center for the selfie camera and all the sensors. The Pill-shaped cutout means that you now get more space on the top of the display for all the necessary information like battery percentage and notification icons. Apple is calling this display ‘Dynamic Island’ and the display now shows Air Pods notifications, Face ID alerts, and other important information.

The iPhone 14 Pro comes with a 6.1 inches super retina display while the Pro Max comes with a 6.7-inch super retina display similar to last year’s iPhone 13 Pro and 13 pro max. The display can reach up to 2000 nits of maximum brightness in broad daylight. The display also supports a 120Hz fast refresh rate and Pro Motion technology which drops the display’s refresh rate to 1Hz to save battery.

Under the hood is the latest A16 bionic chipset powering both the Pro Models. It is a six-core CPU with two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. The chipset is coupled with a five-core GPU for handling all the graphics. According to Apple, the high-performance cores take 20 percent less power than last year’s A15 and it brings a significant performance upgrade over it’s predecessor.

For Optics, there is a triple camera system on the rear side that now comes with three new sensors. There is a new 48MP main camera sensor with an f/1.78 aperture which is a significant upgrade to the 12MP main camera that Apple used in the previous few generations. The new main camera is a quad pixel sensor and brings two times more improvement in low light image quality.

The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be on Pre-orders starting from September 9th and they will be officially available for sale on September 16th worldwide.
