Know how many downloads are allowed on Netflix

Netflix

Everyone who uses Netflix knows that the streaming giant allows users to download content for offline viewing. Offline content is very helpful when you don’t have reliable and high-speed internet or you don’t have any internet connection. Especially if you are traveling and have a Netflix connection then offline content keeps you entertained on the go.

There are thousands of titles available on Netflix depending on the region that you can watch anytime. But many few people know that Netflix restricts content to download. It means that you cannot download all the titles if you want as there is a restriction. Of course, it also depends on your Mobile’s internal storage but there is also a restriction from the streaming giant as well.

As per the Netflix Help center page, there is a limit of 100 downloads per user and 100 downloads per device. That’s not a small limit as 100 downloads are more than enough for many users and even if you download 100 titles of episodes on your device that would be enough for almost a month of content viewing for many users. The downloaded content will store on your device’s internal storage and can be available until you delete it. Also, the availability of titles depends on the license agreement. If the content license ends then the title will also be removed even if you don’t delete it from your internal storage.

There are also some other restrictions on the downloaded content from the streaming giant. Some downloaded content will be removed from your downloads after 48 hours when you first play that content. Also, every title cannot be downloaded for offline viewing.

Netflix is now working on an ad-supported tier for a cheap price apart from it’s usual three paid plans. The ad-supported tier comes with many limitations and downloading content is one of them. As per some early reports, the streaming giant won’t allow users to download content for offline viewing for those who opted for an ad-supported tier.
