mirror from android to firestick

Over the past decade, streaming movies and TV shows to watch your favorite entertainment has done everything possible, in a strange and crappy way, most people spend their free time. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and other streaming services have become giants, their original programming often winning big awards like Emmys and even the Oscars. With the new public services launched by Disney and Warner Bros. in 2019 and 2020, the flow of content does not decrease either. So, with the end of the streaming wars, there has never been a better time to dive into the Amazon world. Fire TV, and in particular the Amazon Fire TV Stick Amazon $40 at a low price

A lesser-known but powerful feature of the Amazon Fire TV Stick is the ability to capture smartphone or tablet screens on your TV screen. It allows you to do things like play movies or TV shows, or video chat on the big screen, or play games with a great display from your phone. You can only mirror the display or audio in addition to the display. Making mirrors is pretty easy, but in this article, I’m going to walk you through the process.

Activate Mirroring On Your Tablet and Phone

The next step is to activate Miracast on your phone or tablet. To mirror your device to a Fire TV key, this device needs the help of Miracast. If you have a tablet, phone, or even a desktop computer built-in 2012 or later, it should support Miracast locally. Miracast is a wireless protocol that enables the distribution of audio and video data between Wi-Fi cooperative devices. However, as each phone manufacturer creates its own version of the Android operating system, this feature does not always have the same name on each phone. Open your device’s settings page and look for one of the following phrases:

  • Miracast
  • Wireless mirroring
  • Quick Connect
  • Cast screen
  • Wireless display
  • Screen mirroring
  • AllShareCast
  • Wireless mirroring
  • Quick Connect
  • Smart View
  • Screen Sharing

If you can’t find this feature, you can check the Wi-Fi Alliance tool list to make sure it is present on your phone. Once you’ve found the Settings page for the screenshot feature, activate the service and your Fire TV stick should start to mirror your Android device screen. If your phone has Android version 4.2 before, it may not support Miracast locally. However, you’re out of luck. There are apps for your Fire TV key that let you shoot on your device.

Mirroring Through Third-Party Apps

There are third-party apps that allow you to photograph devices that don’t support Miracast. There are many apps to choose from, but for this article, I’m going to show you how to work with AllCast, as it is a very popular and reliable app that supports many devices.

Download Allcast App On Fire TV

From the Home screen move left to the research bar and apply the onscreen keyboard to enter the word “Allcast”. Get the AllCast app and install it on your device (For Android Search the Play Store for the AllCast application and install it on your mobile). It is easy to mirror the content of your Android device, even if your device is not compatible with Miracast. Also to built-in support for Miracast, third-party applications like Allcast enable you to cast to your Fire TV key from any device.
