Motorola today announced The Motorola Edge 30 a trimmed-down version of The Edge 30 Pro in Europe. The device will soon be launched in other Asian, African, and Middle Eastern countries later but the United States launch isn’t confirmed yet. The device comes with triple rear cameras, 33W fast charging, and SD 778 chipset.
Here is a detailed look at the specification of the device.
Motorola Edge 30 Specifications:
The device features a 6.5-inch 1080p OLED display panel with 2400*1080 pixel resolutions and a 144 Hz higher refresh rate. This display is slightly smaller than the Pro model but has similar specifications like an OLED panel and 144 Hz refresh rate.
Motorola Edge 30 is powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 which is based on 6nm fabrication. The chipset is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
For photos, there is a triple rear camera aligned in a vertical camera module. There is a 50 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2 Megapixels depth sensor. The rear cameras can record up to 4K videos instead of 8K videos which the Pro Model does. Inside the camera module is a dual-tone LED flashlight as well. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32 MP front camera placed in a center punch-hole cutout and the top of the display.
Motorola Edge 30 runs on Android 12 on top of Motorola’s own My UX custom skin out of the box. The device is backed by the 4020 mAh battery pack that supports 33W wired charging. For connectivity, there is a 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth v5.2. It also includes all the sensors such as a magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics.
For the European market, it is priced at EUR 449 (roughly $475) for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage as listed on the official website. There is also an 8Gb RAM and 256GB storage variant whose price is yet to be announced by the company.
