Netflix is a modern-day status symbol and is essential for many of us these days. With over 200 million users it is also the biggest streaming site worldwide.
Netflix allows users to stream unlimited movies and TV shows of their choice without any disturbing and annoying advertisements. Every month the streaming giant adds new titles to its long-lasting list of content.
With so many options there are situations where we sometimes open a TV show or movie on Netflix and get bored after few minutes or few episodes. We didn’t continue that title and jumped to the next one. However, that title remains on our watch history under the section “Continue Watching”.
These titles sometimes are those that you don’t want others to know that you are watching them. So in this article, we will tell you to remove those unwanted titles from our Netflix watch history.
How to remove Netflix Watch History?
You can only remove the history from the web browser and not from the app.
Open any web browser of your choice on your PC, laptop, or even your mobile devices.
Type “Netflix” in the address bar and hit enter.
Next, log in with your account once you open the streaming website.
Move your cursor to the profile icon and select “Account” from the list of options.
In “Accounts” scroll down to the “Profile and Parental Control” section and select your profile. If you have multiple profiles then all are listed in that section.
Click on your Profile and navigate “Viewing Activity” and click on it.
In this section, all your recently viewed titles are listed there with the date.
On the right corner of each title, you will see the “⊘” sign and when you hover your cursor over it you will see the text “hide from viewing history”.
Click on it and that title will be removed from your watch history on the streaming service.
After you remove the title from your watch history, that title will not appear in the suggestion as well. But you can always manually search that title to watch in the future if it’s still available on Netflix.
