Samsung opens One UI 4 beta program-based Android 12 beta for its flagship Galaxy S21 series, it announced. Official Android 12 is just around the corner and is expected to launch on 4th October for the Pixel devices.

The company plans to bring the beta program of the latest Android OS earlier every year. But this year, it is just a couple of weeks late than the previous year.

To get the One UI beta based on Android 12 users to have to register for the program. The registration will start on 14th September for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series users.

Registration for the program will be done through the Samsung membership app and is only available for the citizens of the US. Like every year a limited number of users can join the beta program on a first come first serve basis.

The update is One UI 4 is based on the latest Android 12 OS. This year Android gets a major UI overhaul with version 12. The whole look of the operating system changed with more color options, better customization, big and pill-shaped icons, etc. Google called this new look “Material You”.

However, it is unclear yet whether these all Android 12 customization and other feature will reach the One UI 4 beta in Samsung. Because the South Korean Smartphone giant already offers many of the customizations on its One UI 3.1.

In Samsung, we already have a “Good Lock App” which offers themes, styling, widgets, and much more for customization. Here is the list of some features that users will get in the beta update:

A wealth of theme options let you adjust the look and functionality of your device, giving you tools to configure your home screen, icons, notifications, wallpapers, and much more.

Redesigned, upgraded widgets offer deep customization — from visibility to appearance.

You also get convenient access to a more robust and diverse array of emojis all in one place.

Galaxy users will also get the Android 12’ privacy indicator with the new update which lets users know when their microphone and camera are in use and which app uses them.
