OnePlus 16 Camera Specifications Leak: 200MP Main Sensor Tipped

OPPO’s sub-brand, OnePlus, is developing its next-generation flagship, the OnePlus 16. According to a reliable tipster, Digital Chat, the next-generation flagship is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup with a massive 200MP primary sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, promising significant improvements in detail, dynamic range, and low-light photography.

The primary camera will reportedly be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera using a smaller sensor, along with a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto camera, also based on a small sensor. While the ultra-wide and telephoto hardware may not be as large as the main sensor, the overall imaging experience is expected to benefit from LUMO, OPPO’s in-house imaging technology, which focuses on enhanced color reproduction, better HDR performance, and improved image processing.

Beyond the cameras, the OnePlus 16 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, positioning it among the most powerful Android smartphones expected next year. The device is also tipped to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution and an unusually high 185Hz refresh rate. The panel is likely to be supplied by BOE and is said to feature ultra-slim bezels measuring around 1mm on all four sides, thanks to advanced LIPO display packaging technology.

Battery life could be another major highlight of the OnePlus 16. The flagship is rumored to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery, paired with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
