Chinese OEM OnePlus has finally launched OnePlus 8T, company’s second flagship of the year. OnePlus 8T is a minor upgrade to this year’s OnePlus 8 series. It brings little improvement to its siblings.
OnePlus 8T Specifications:
Display and Design:
The device has a flat 6.55-inches AMOLED display panel. The display has a resolution of 2400*1080 pixels with a pixel density of 402 PPI. Following the trend, this display has a higher refresh rate of 120 Hz. The maximum brightness of the display can be reached at 1100 nits and it also supports HDR10+.
Similar to its siblings, the display has an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. On the top, left corner of the display is the punch-hole cut-out which houses the 16-MP selfie camera.
There is a gorilla glass protection on the front and back of the device. The body is made up of the glass with the metal frame sandwich in between the gorilla glass.
Internals:
Under the hood, there is a top of the line octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. It is a 7nm chipset and has a built-in 5G modem.
Supporting the chipset, the device has a RAM of up to 12GB LPDDRX4 and up to 3.1 UFS 256 GB of storage.
OnePlus 8T is available in two variants i.e. 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. There is no support for the external card so that’s all the memory users can have.
Cameras:
On the rear side, there is a quad-camera setup with 48-MP main f/1.7 aperture lens. Along with that, there is a 16-MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens, 5-MP f/2.4 macro lens and 2-MP f/2.4 depth sensor.
The main camera can shoot videos of 4K@ 30 and 60 FPS, 1080p @ 30, 60 and 240 FPS.
The 16-MP selfie camera can record video of 1080p@ 30 FPS.
Battery:
The phone is powered by the 4500 mAh battery with 65 W ultra-fast charging support.
Other Features of OnePlus 8T:
It comes with the Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box and is Among the few devices at present to have Android 11.
For better audio, the device has a stereo speaker and all the sensors including accelerometer, gyro sensor and proximity sensor. It is available in two colour options i.e. Aquamarine Green, Lunar Silver.
Pricing and Availability of OnePlus 8T:
The device has two variants. 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant is priced at $700 or 599 euros. The other variant 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is priced at $820 or 699 euros.
It is available for sale starting of 16th October.
