OnePlus Nord 2T

OnePlus Nord 2T officially launched as a direct successor to last year’s Nord 2. Like it’s predecessor, it is a mid-range device from OnePlus that brings decent specifications and a mid-range price tag to cater to a large audience who can’t afford a flagship device.

Along with it’s flagship devices, OnePlus is now also focusing on it’s mid-range Nord series to compete with Samsung A series, Google Pixel a series, Xiaomi Redmi series, and others.

The Nord 2T brings almost the same internals and design as it’s predecessor but with few incremental upgrades. Lets’s have a look at the detailed specifications of the OnePlus Nord 2T.

OnePlus Nord 2T specifications:

OnePlus Nord 2T features a flat 6.43-inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display panel with a 90 Hz higher refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Like almost all the devices in this price range, it also has a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner which houses a 32 MP selfie shooter for video calls and selfies.

As mentioned in the title, it comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC built on the TSMC 6nm architecture. It is an octa-core chipset that includes four Cortex A78 cores (one core is clocked at 3GHz and three cores are clocked at 2.6GHz) and four Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2GHz. The chipset is paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

For optics, there is a triple rear camera system housed in a similar style camera module as it’s predecessor. The camera system consists of a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor with 1200 degree view, and a 2 MP monochrome sensor.

OnePlus Nord 2T has the same 4500 mAh battery dual cell as it’s predecessor but in this device, there is an 80W fast charging support which is higher than the 65W used in last year’s model. As per the company’s official statement, with this charging speed, the device can be charged in 30 minutes from 0 percent to 100 percent.

The device runs on Oxygen OS 12 on top of Android 12 out of the box and will receive two years of major Android OS updates and three years of security updates. It is available in two colors that are Jade Fog and Gray Shadow.

As far as the pricing is concerned, it starts at €399 for the base 8GB + 12GB storage variant and €499 for the higher 12GB + 256GB storage variant. Interested buyers can pre-book the device on OnePlus.com from today and it will go on sale on May 24.
