OnePlus officially shared a glimpse of it’s upcoming OxygenOS 13 custom skin based on Android 13 which will be available for all supported OnePlus devices soon. Google’s upcoming Android 13 will be launching soon globally for all the supported devices. Android 13 is currently available for supported Pixel devices in beta forms and a few other devices.

During it’s online event where the company announced the OnePlus 10T, the company also announced OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 for the OnePlus device. At the presentation, the OEM disclosed what they are planning for their version of Android 13. The OS will obviously have all the Android 13 features that Google announced along with OnePlus and Oppo’s customization options.

During the event, the OMEN revealed the enhancements that they made on Always on Display features in OxygenOS 13. Now, the Always on Display feature will have a Spotify and Bitmoji integration as well. The company also improved it’s proprietary Zen Mode with some enhancements and added functionalities. The OEM also brings improvement in the Nearby share and Fast pair and made both these features a core pillar of OxygenOS 13.

Some of the upcoming features on OxygenOS 13 that company announced during the event are:

  • AI System Booster
  • Smart Launcher – Faster folders, ability to open apps from the folder icon, add widgets from app icons
  • Sidebar Toolbox – Sidebar with quick access to select apps
  • Hyper boost Gaming Engine upgrades
  • Spatial Audio support
  • Private Safe 2.0

The OEM also improved the overall user interface and design of the operating system which is one of the main highlights. The company talked for nearly 30 minutes about the design of the OS during the event. The new design language is called “aquamorphic”. For this design language, the OEM took the idea from nature, especially from Water.

However, since the merger of OxygenOS and ColorOS code, the upcoming OxygenOS 13 custom skin looks more like Oppo’s ColorOS instead of OxygenOS which we all liked. The quick setting toggle page looks exactly like the upcoming ColorOS 13 which also got leaked online.

That’s it. The OS is currently in the testing phase and will come out first in beta for all supported OnePlus devices. We will soon give our users the list of all supported OnePlus devices soon.
