Xiaomi’s successful spinoff – Poco has shown up with a new budget smartphone named Poco M3. This latest handset features an FHD+ display, Snapdragon chipset, quad-rear cameras, and a massive battery as notables. Also, it’s officially splitting off from Xiaomi as an independent brand after selling over 6 million units globally. Here’s more about the Poco M3;
Poco M3 Specifications
The all-new Poco M3 has a 6.53″ FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 1080 × 2340p resolution. With a dew-drop notch, it has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Running on MIUI 12 based on Android 10, it has Snapdragon 662 SoC under the hood and Adreno 610 GPU.
It has 4GB of RAM coming with either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage, with an option to expand storage via the dedicated microSD card slot. Regarding cameras, it has a triple-rear setup consisting of a 48MP (f/1.8) lens as the primary sensor and a pair of 2MP (f/2.4) lenses for macro and depth shots. Upfront, there’s a single 8MP (f/1.8) lens for selfies.
With dual speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, it has connectivities like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, infrared port, and a USB Type-C 2.0 to charge the massive 6000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
Regarding pricing and availability, Poco M3 comes in three colours as Cool Blue, Poco Yellow, and Power Black, and is priced at $149 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, and $169 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. It goes on sale starting November 27th, which is on Black Friday this year. On that occasion, it’ll put up at a $20 discount on both the variants and is available through all local online retailers.
