Xiaomi’s offshoot POCO launched another mid-range device for it’s M series dubbed as POCO M5. The device comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, a 5000 mAh battery cell, and a triple rear camera system. Check out the detailed specifications of the device below.

POCO M5 specifications:

The device follows the design language of other POCO devices and comes with a dual-tone back panel. There is a triple rear camera system with two big camera modules in a vertical arrangement while the third camera and the LED flashlight are in a horizontal arrangement.

On the front is a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display that has an old-fashioned water drop notch at the top center for the selfie camera. The display supports an adaptive 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. If set to adaptive, the refresh rate can go from 30Hz to all the way to 90Hz depending on the content on the screen.

Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset based on 6nm fabrication along with Mali G 57 MC2 GPU for all graphics-intensive tasks. The chipset is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

For optics, there is a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor on the rear side. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8MP front camera.

POCO M5 is equipped with a massive 5000 mAh battery that comes with 18W fast charging support. It runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box. The charging speed is similar to its predecessor which is disappointing as POCO did not upgrade the charging speed.

Other features include an IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, Game Turbo 5.0, Bluetooth v5.3, 5G, and USB Type C.

Pricing:

The device is available in three color options that are Icy Blue, POCO yellow, and Power black. It comes in two variant and is priced at INR 12, 499 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and INR 14,499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant.
