POCO India has officially teased the arrival of new smartphones in its X Series lineup, hinting at the upcoming launch of the POCO X8 and X8 Power in the country. While the company has not yet revealed the exact model names or launch date, the teaser suggests that more devices will soon join the existing POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max.
According to a tipster, the POCO X8 Power could be launched with a massive 10,000mAh battery, making it one of the most battery-focused smartphones in the segment. The device is also tipped to share the same specifications as the upcoming REDMI Note 17 Pro Max, suggesting that the POCO X8 Power could be a rebranded version of the REDMI smartphone.
The POCO X8 Power is reportedly set to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is expected to be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The smartphone could also carry an IP69 rating for enhanced protection against dust and water.
Under the hood, the smartphone is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device is also expected to receive four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates.
For photography, the POCO X8 Power could feature a 50MP primary rear camera alongside an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The front camera will feature a 32MP sensor.
