Realme 9 Pro series launched with triple rear cameras

Realme today launched it’s much-awaited Realme 9 Pro series as a direct successor to last year’s Realme 8 Pro series. The series was supposed to launch in 2021 but was delayed for some reason and finally, it launched today in 2022. Realme’s number series is very popular among mid-range smartphones as it offers value for money devices at a good price.

Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G specifications:

Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G is the top-of-the-line device among the two devices launched today. The device launched in three color variants i.e., Sunrise Blue, Aurora Green, and Midnight Black. The sunrise blue variant has a color-changing glass back panel that shifts colors from blue to red in direct sunlight. This color-changing feature is not new as we have seen it before and it makes the device look good.

Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset coupled with either 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB internal storage. On the front is the 6.43-inch FHD+ OLED display panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The device features a 4500 mAh battery with 60W wired fast charging, dual 5G sims support, stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for additional security. It ships with Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box.

On the top left corner of the display is a 16 MP selfie shooter tucked in a punch-hole cutout. There is a triple rear camera setup arranged vertically featuring a 50 MP IMX766 Sony sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2 MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture.

Realme 9 Pro 5G Specification:

It is a trimmed-down version of the 9 Pro Plus with a more affordable price tag. This device is released with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset inside coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with a higher 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a slightly bigger 5000 mAh battery than its siblings but with only 33W Fast charging. It ships with Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box. Due to the LCD panel, this device doesn’t have an in-display fingerprint scanner instead, the fingerprint scanner is placed inside the power button on the side rail of the device.

There is a 16 MP selfie camera on the display inside the punch hole cut out. On the back is a triple camera setup with a 64 MP main sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 MP macro lens.

Pricing:

Realme 9 Pro Plus 5G base variant 6GB + 128 GB starts at $335 while the 8GB + 128 GB starts at $360 and the max out specs variant 8GB + 256 GB is priced at $385. The Realme Pro base 6GB + 128 GB variant is priced at $240 and the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at $280.
