Realme C17 announced in Bangladesh today as a mid-range device. It is a successor to the realme C12 which launched this year.
Realme C17 Specifications:
Design and Display:
The smartphone comes with the 6.5-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a higher refresh rate of 90 Hz. The Chinese OEM brings a higher refresh rate at an HD panel for smoother frequency. It is amazing to see that the higher refresh rates are now coming to the mid-range devices and becoming more commercial. We expect more OEMs to bring higher refresh rates to mid-range devices.
On the top left of the display, there is a punch-hole cutout which houses the 8 megapixels selfie camera. The bezels around the display are very minimal which gives a decent look and are comfortable to hold.
Realme C17 is a mid-range device which comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset. The Snapdragon 460 SoC is very much capable of handling the day to day task and provides decent performance. With this SoC, the mid-range market segment has now become quite interesting and competitive also.
The chipset is built around 11 nm architecture and is an 8-core chipset. The four cores with Cortex A73 plus while the other four cores come with Cortex A53 Plus.
The SoC is coupled with the 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage which is expandable. The phone comes with the realme UI based on Android 10 out of the box.
The phone also comes with the quad rear cameras aligned in a vertical “L” shape camera module. The main camera is a 13 MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture. The other three camera lenses include 8 MP ultra-wide lens, 2 MP Macro Lens and a 2 MP monochrome lens. On paper, the camera setup looks decent and can provide modest images and video but don’t expect flagship-level photography.
The device has a big battery of 5000 mAh with the support for the 18W fast charging. The battery is huge and can easily give you more than one day of battery life on a single charge. It is also good to see that the mid-range devices are not disappointing on the battery end.

Realme C17 launched in Bangladesh with a price tag of BDT 15,990 which is equivalent to $190 or Eur 160. This smartphone will ship from the 24th September and the first flash sale will be on 22 September on Daraz in Bangladesh.
