Xiaomi launches Redmi K30s today with the premium specs and at an affordable price. As the premium smartphones price touch $1000 or more, Xiaomi; sub-brand Redmi still provides smartphones with premium specs at an affordable price.
This device has been surfacing over the internet for quite some time and is also referred to as the rebranded version of the Xiaomi’s Mi 10T. It is indeed a rebranded version of the Mi 10T for the markets like India where Redmi devices have a huge fan following.
Here’s the details specification of the Redmi K30s:
Display:
The device touted to have a huge 6.67-inch display panel with FHD+ resolution. This display has a higher refresh rate of 144Hz and has a punch-hole cut-out on the top left. The punch-hole cut-out houses the selfie camera.
Internals:
As mentioned earlier, it comes with the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. It is a flagship chipset which we see in the flagship smartphones released in the first half of the year. Redmi K30s is available in two variants. The base variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The higher variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The internal storage is the latest UFS3.1 which provides faster data/files transfer and app opening. With the latest internal storage, this device also has the latest LPDDR5 RAM which provides a more smooth experience.
There is no option for the expandable storage via Micro SD card so the internal storage is what you will have. It comes with the Xiaomi latest skin MIUI 12 on top of the Android 10 which handles all the software processing.
Cameras:
On the rear side, there is a triple camera slot similar to what we have seen on the Xiaomi Mi 10T. The main sensor is the 64-MP lens and it is supported by the 13-MP ultra-wide lens and 5-MP macro lens. The disappointing thing for the Redmi fans is there is no zoom or telephoto lens.
On the display, the punch-hole cut-out houses the 20 MP single selfie camera.
Battery:
Redmi phones always have the big battery which survives two days on normal use. This phone also has the big 5000 mAh battery with the support for the 33W Fast charging.
Price:
The phone comes with a starting price of $390 for the base variant and is available from 11th November 2020.
