Samsung Internet Browser Latest Update Brings Search Bar to Bottom

Samsung’s Internet browser received a new update, where it will allow users to set the URL search bar at the bottom.

This will make the user experience easier on large screens a lot easier. Also, there are other new security features rolled into the new version of the Samsung Internet browser.

Samsung Internet Browser New Features

For long, most browsers equipped their top part with the URL search bar, and other browser options at the bottom or the corner. This has been helpful and simple, but with OEMs manufacturing larger screens gradually, this is becoming hard.

Thus, one among them, Samsung understood their efforts and brought the search bar to bottom in its native internet browser. As per the Samsung Internet browser’s latest update v16.0.2.19, the placement setting of search bar is now optional – at the top or the bottom.

This makes it easier for large screen phones like Galaxy S21 Ultra, and others. Samsung isn’t the only one that gave option to set search bar at the bottom, Brave and few browsers too. Apple, in this case, introduced this support in Safari, in iOS 15.

The first one to ever bring this support is Microsoft, with its Windows Phone 8. Long after, OEMs like Samsung and Apple are now following the suit. Apart from this, the new update to Samsung’s Internet browser brings more usability and security of the Internet browser.

These include a Smart Anti-Tracking to prevents tracking by using small pixel images, and the ability to prioritize HTTPS connections when visiting a site. All these are available in the latest update, available on The Play Store. The good thing here – the Samsung Internet browser is available for all Android devices, and not just for Samsung phones.
