Samsung, the South Korean giant has already been a market leader in terms of software updates, as the company offers updates upto 3 years from their product’s date of launch.

And this become more appreciable when Samsung bumped this period to 4 years, especially when every other Android smartphone OEM in the industry is offering only upto 2 years.

Now, Samsung makes yet another surprising feat by supplying the latest (March 2022) security patch to it’s Galaxy S9 series! As if offering security updates to old devices isn’t surprising enough, the company did it by pushing other recent flagships aside.

The Galaxy S9 series is four years old, and these handsets in Germany are now receiving the March security patches with firmware version G96xFXXUHFVB4. Soon, this may be offered to Galaxy S9 phones in other regions too. Interested users can go to Settings > Software > Update to install the latest updates
