Samsung is all set to launch it’s new flagship series – Galaxy S22 today. While it’s going to be official in a few hours, leaks are still pouring in today.
And this time, it’s regarding the chipset update from an Indian tipster. According to him, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip for the Indian market. This is unusual but welcoming.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Series in India
To date, we have a number of leaks pertaining to the Galaxy S22 series, and most came from reliable leakers which we believe to be true, soon. Adding up one more now, the Indian variants of the Galaxy S22 series are said to be coming with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips, as tipped by Ishan Agarwal.
This is unreal but welcoming. Though Samsung makes its Exynos chips as good as Qualcomm, most users still prefer using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips in their handsets. And if it’s premium, most mature markets demand having a Snapdragon processor in their phones, instead of MediaTek’s or Exynos.
All flagship Galaxy phones on the Indian market, to date, have come with Exynos chips. So getting a high-end Snapdragon chip this time is exciting. Although, we have to wait a few more hours to know this. Samsung has scheduled it’s “Unpacked 2022” event for February 10th, at 00.00 AM KST, which if translated to Indian timings becomes February 9th at 8.30 PM.
You can watch the event through various means – Samsung’s YouTube channel, its official website, or even in Decentraland! Organizing a product launch event in the metaverse is picking up, with few tech and apparel companies choosing to hype their products.
In case you wish you watch Samsung’s event in the metaverse, log in to the Decentraland website through a desktop browser. You may choose to connect your cryptocurrency wallet like Metamask, although it’s not necessary. Well, having a connected wallet means you can get random Samsung goodies and collectibles like NFTs.
