FCC Asks Apple and Google to Delist TikTok From Their App Stores

To let users find a video they saw yesterday, or last week, TikTok is introducing a new feature called “Watch History” on it’s app.

This is available only to some, and not in all regions as of now. More functionality of this feature is yet to be known, but we expect this to make the search simpler than what we’re doing now through the search bar and filters.

TikTok Watch History

TikTok is undoubtedly the market leader in the short-video entertainment industry. The platform has been used by billions for their daily digest, by creators and brands for earning money. As businesses and creators thrive with supportive tools, the general users are often complaining about not having a simple yet needed feature – Watch History.

Currently, users are forced to find their lost content from the past through the search bar, and keywords, and that too only from a week’s span. On top of this, this filtering won’t return the results in chronological order, making the finding very hard. As users are frustrated by this choice, TikTok seems to be working on something to relieve them.

And this is Watch History! Initially spotted by Hammod Oh and later shared by Matt Navarra, a screenshot depicting this support shows a new “Watch History” feature being added to the platform. This can be found in the app’s settings and privacy menu.

Although, it’s unclear to whom and where it’s available now! When contacted by TechCrunch, TikTok provided a standard statement saying it’s “always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience.”

Well, until TikTok rolls out this feature to all general users, you may still go with the traditional bookmarking feature to save desired videos for checking later. Thanks TikTok, as it at least allows you to organize the bookmarked clips into collections, making the search easy later on.
