Twitter is planning to launch a subscription service called Twitter blue which will cost around $2.99 per month. The microblogging site previously announced that they are working on a subscription model that will give access to more features to users.
Jane Manchun Wong, the researcher provide us more detail about the new service. According to her, the subscription will cost $2.99 per month and it will be called “Twitter Blue”.

Twitter Blue will offer additional features to all its subscribers. The additional feature that will come with this subscription service is that users can cancel their sent tweets at any time. Another feature is that users can organize their tweets in a collection.
There are also possibilities that the microblogging site is working on multiple levels of the subscription model through which users will get more premium options. The Social media site on the other hand didn’t comment on this matter.
The Social Media site recently acquired Scroll, a service that offers an ad-free experience to users for $5 a month to view content on its partner sites. There is a high possibility that Twitter will merge its subscription service with scroll.
The social media company also dumped Nuzzel (a scroll service) when it acquired scroll. Nuzzel basically sent users the reviews of top stories that are shared on Twitter via email.
Tony Haile, the ex CEO of scroll at the time of acquisition announced that they “will be integrating into Twitter subscriptions later this year”. Tony Haile is now a part of the microblogging site product development team. This seems like one additional feature of Twitter blue is the content without ads on partner’s websites. Right now there is no confirmation when this subscription service will be available for users.
