Twitter has been trying hard to gain more traction by adding new features to it’s main app. The platform has already been working on some new features like downvotes, Twitter articles, and more. Now, according to a new report the platform has been working on a dedicated podcast tab on it’s app.

This new report comes from a popular reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong who shared a screenshot of the upcoming podcast tab on the app. This indicates that the platform is working on this feature and might roll out for all users soon.

As per the screenshots, there is a new microphone button in the navigation bar at the bottom of the app. By tapping on that microphone button, the app will open a new podcast tab. Apart from this, the screenshot doesn’t reveal any other information about this new option. It is unclear at the moment how the podcast will list on this new tab. From the screenshot, there is just a blank page with the title “Podcast” at the top.

It seems like the platform is building this new section as an extension to it’s already popular spaces feature. Twitter allows every user to start spaces and record those spaces so there are chances that the app might list all those recorded spaces in that new tab for later listening.

However, this is just a rumor, and there is nothing official from Twitter about this upcoming feature. So let’s just wait and see what the app will present in terms of podcasts to it’s users.
