Twitter spaces are gaining popularity day by day as the company continuously adds new features to its spaces. Now, Twitter has added a new feature to its spaces allowing users to join the space without having a Twitter account.
Users who are hosting spaces can share their space links to others and they can join the space using the link through their web browser. There is no need to log in to a Twitter account if the users want to join the space through the shared link.
It will also allow those users to join the space who don’t have Twitter accounts as users don’t need to log in to their accounts. But those users who join through the link can only listen to the speakers as they can not participate as of now.
The addition of this feature will give more popularity to spaces. Recently, Twitter also removed the number of followers restriction and allow everyone on both iOS and Android to host the spaces.
The announcement about this new feature comes from the spaces Twitter account via a tweet. This will give the host to reach a wider audience and invite users to join the spaces through a link. Those users who don’t have any account can also join the audio broadcast and listen to the speaker through a web browser as they don’t need an account.
Twitter introduced spaces which is a direct competitor to Clubhouse. The Clubhouse which allows users to start an audio session with other users gained popularity during the lockdown period. Similarly, after Clubhouse’s popularity, Facebook started a live audio room which is similar to Clubhouse and Twitter spaces.
Previously, the micro-blogging site only allows users to host space with more than 600 followers. But now the follower’s restriction has been removed by the company and anyone can host a space even if they have zero followers.
