The Vivo X500 series is on its way for an official debut in China, with the flagship lineup rumoured to launch as early as September. Ahead of the expected announcement, an alleged Vivo X500 Pro model has reportedly been spotted during an advertisement shoot in Melbourne.
Taiwanese singer and actor Jay Chou was recently seen filming an advertisement with a smartphone believed to be part of Vivo’s upcoming X500 Pro series. An image from the shoot was shared by Weibo user Wang Tengxiao. While Vivo and Jay Chou have not confirmed the device’s identity, its design has sparked speculation that it could be an upcoming X500-series flagship.
Jay Chou has previously been associated with Vivo and endorsed the Vivo X300 Ultra during his 2026 Carnival World Tour in China, making his appearance with a potential new Vivo flagship particularly noteworthy.
According to current rumours, the Vivo X500 lineup could include the standard X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. A fourth X500e model has also been mentioned in earlier leaks, although its launch status remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 Pro Max has reportedly appeared on China’s 3C certification database under model number V2602DA. The listing confirms the support for 90W wired fast charging and 5G connectivity.
The Pro Max is also rumoured to feature a 6.85-inch LIPO flat display with a 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Other expected specifications include an 8,000mAh battery and a 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
For photography, the smartphone could feature a 50MP Sony LYT-910 primary sensor powered by LOFIC, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
